Calcium carbonate according to EN 1018
Carbonate is a natural filter material made from pure calcium carbonate (CaCO3). It is used for the deacidification of groundwater or for hardness increase after reverse osmosis.
Carbonate has a high reactivity. In drinking water treatment, increasing the pH value simultaneously improves iron-removal and manganese removal.
